Testimonials

For several years, Tom served as a public announcer at basketball games for Wilmington Area School District. The Good Samaritan Fund provided wheelchair-accessible transportation, allowing Tom to attend a girls' varsity basketball game.

Tom's wife shared her thoughts on his experience:

"Tom was ecstatic. He loves the girls and the team so much that he was almost crying. It meant so much to him. He was so happy and so grateful. Tom used to announce at the games and became friends with a lot of the girls at the school. He has known some of these girls since they started playing T-ball. The kids would help him get into the gym, and Tom would announce from his scooter. Tom stopped going to the games about five years ago, so this meant so much to him."
