Our Story
The Good Samaritan Fund was founded on a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to choose between their health and their financial stability. Born out of a deep sense of compassion and community, our organization exists to bridge the gap for individuals and families who fall through the cracks of traditional assistance programs.
We serve Lawrence County, Mercer County, and the surrounding communities of western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio — areas where access to affordable healthcare remains a persistent challenge. Our volunteers and donors share a common heart: to love their neighbors as themselves.
Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, we believe that true community means stopping for those in need — not passing by. Every dollar donated, every hour volunteered, and every prayer offered moves us closer to a community where healthcare is never out of reach.
