Accessibility Statement
The Good Samaritan Fund is committed to making our website accessible to everyone.
Our Commitment
The Good Samaritan Fund is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to achieve this goal.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people. Learn more about WCAG 2.1
Measures We Have Taken
The Good Samaritan Fund takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Include accessibility as a requirement in our website development process.
- Provide a skip-to-main-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
- Ensure all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
- Provide visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Use semantic HTML elements to convey structure and meaning.
- Provide descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background (minimum 4.5:1 ratio).
- Label all form fields and interactive controls clearly.
- Use ARIA attributes where needed to support assistive technologies.
- Ensure page titles and headings are descriptive and follow a logical hierarchy.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some third-party content embedded on our site — such as the support request form and donation processing pages — is provided by external services and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working with our vendors to address these limitations.
